Ready to hire an Intimacy Coordinator or Media Consultant?
Working on sets in Los Angeles + Toronto, and having served as guest faculty with SAG-AFTRA accredited training programs CINTIMA in LA and Intimacy Coordinators Canada in Toronto, I offer my expertise spanning a full spectrum of intimacy, diversity, and artistic process + mediums.
In 1998, as a young theatre artist, I first did the work of an Intimacy Coordinator, navigating boundaries + consent for scenes with simulated intimacy and sexual violence, choreography, script development, and directing, before the industry had a title for what I did.
I now integrate 20+ years of my artistic career and trauma-informed somatic holistic health practice with knowing the nuanced languages of intimacy, bdsm, LGBTQQ2SAI+ cultures, choreography, acting/directing, and embodied equity practices with the diversity of race / culture/ gender / sexuality / ability-”disability”/ body size/ sexual violence survivors, to support the unique creative vision of each project, while keeping actors + performers feeling safe so they can deliver their best work.
So whether your projects have characters or actors that are straight, queer, trans, black, brown, white, big or small, “disabled”/able-bodied, vanilla or kinky, to cross-cultural nuances and everything in-between - I got you covered. Fully.

What’s an Intimacy Coordinator?
An Intimacy Coordinator is like a Stunt Coordinator, but for scenes that involve intimacy, sexual content, sexual violence, and occasionally content about LGBTQQAI+ people and gender diversity. While keeping the director’s vision alive, we support actors/performers in establishing what feels safe for them so they can do their best work, then co-create the closed rehearsal process, and, if the director wants, we can co-choreograph scenes, while liaising logistics between departments, actors, and creative team.
Why do I need an Intimacy Coordinator for my project?
The underbelly of our industry can include imbalanced power dynamics between directors and actors/performers.
Intimacy Coordinators are trained in boundaries + consent and mental health first aid, as well as SAG-AFTRA, ACTRA, AEA, CAEA, and network/production safety standards and protocols.
ICs with advanced training, like myself, bring a full spectrum approach specializing in a trauma-informed process, sexuality + gender and LGBTQQAI diversity, racial + cultural nuances and equity, disability culture + rights, and BDSM, and non-mainstream relationship models like polyamoury.
We use our skills to support actors/performers to establish their boundaries and potential triggers (because actors are people who also come with their own personal emotional landscapes and the possibility of trauma too) without fearing damaging their relationship with the director. This in turn takes the burden off the shoulders of directors to be solely responsible, and liable, for this weighty aspect of their working relationships, so they too can focus more fully on their craft + vision.
Rather than artists leaving work emotionally triggered, destabilized or dishearten (as too often is the case), my goal with Full Spectrum Intimacy Coordination is for everyone to leave a project more cared for than expected, and more inspired by the creativity it takes to create authentic and amazing scenes with intimacy.
